Shila tutted distastefully at the New Order woman below. She was wearing Iron suit bits that matched Riley's colors. "Friend of yours?" she said with a little smile as she stepped away from the ledge and started her transformation into the owl.
In a matter of seconds Shila was soaring in the air beside Riley, keeping a watch for any flying missiles and such heading their way.
She perched lightly on Riley's shoulder as the girl landed, her head swiveling to get a better look at the New Order member before her. Her eyes moved to a sudden tendril appearing from nowhere. It was connected to a man it looked like. The Gilgamesh character. And he was attempting a horror movie cliche it looked to be.
Oh this should be very interesting indeed she thought to herself as she shuffled slightly on the metallic shoulder.

Dom stepped out of one of the heavy duty jeeps and moved around the back and opened one of the gun boxes and took out a gun holster taking off his jacket he threw it into the back of the Jeep and slid his arms through the holsters. Pulling himself up into the back of the jeep he he took a small ear piece from his jeans pocket and slid it around his left ear and this would be able to give him a direct link to the people on board the helicarrior. From another gun holder Dom took out two handguns and removed the clips to check they where loaded before sliding them into the holders. Going back to the box near the edge of the jeeps end he took out a MPT-9K and once again checked the gun was loaded before jumping out of it and moved to stand beside one of the tanks. Dom looked at the armed guards around him "This should be easy enough....Makes you wonder why they bothered coming here ....Maybe they all have a death wish"Dom looked around " I want a pop at that little ice maker if shes in there" Dom told them it wouldn't seem too odd to those around him after all they would all have there own targets when the fight started, but Dom had his own reason first she was a mutant terriost but he had his own privite reasons. When he saw the door open in the mansion Dom raised his gun and trained it on the male that exited the building he couldn't understand why he was coming out alone. Dom kept his finger resting on the trigger, listening to the earpeice on the left for any order to begin the shooting. www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?id=1580895

Elyse was standing at the back of another jeep nearby, checking her own weapons. Even though the opposition was made up of mutants with varying powers, it didn’t hurt to be careful so Elyse had managed to find herself some of the newer, lightweight spidersilk armor in case of anyone on the other side packing something as mundane as bullets. Stronger than Kevlar, it was turning out to be very useful for the military and law enforcement. All six arms out, she had finished loading her two handguns; one with regular bullets and one gun that was made to use plastic bullets. With one of the Resistance wielding control over metal, it was necessary to have something that that girl couldn’t manipulate. Even though they were generally used for crowd and riot control and were considered a less lethal alternative to regular bullets, the plastic could still seriously wound and even kill. Slung across her back Elyse also had an M24 sniper rifle. With her accuracy she would be looking to take out targets hanging close to the mansion or in the windows.
She was still of two minds about this whole business of just going out and killing everyone, but Elyse was trying to look at it like a drug bust; no, it was worse than a drug bust because these people were more dangerous. They wouldn’t just put up their hands and come along quietly; they would fight to the end, which meant it couldn’t really be dealt with civilly.
Elyse holstered the handguns on her multi-weapon belt, grabbed extra ammo, and spotting Dom by one of the tanks, went to join him, still not knowing too many of the others yet. As she approached, a young man walked out of the mansion by himself and started talking. Now, to do something like that, the guy was either really brave, really stupid, or very confident that he would be safe. Elyse was betting on the last one, going back over in her mind the information they had been given back at the base.
“Hey.” She said as she ended up next to Dom. He had a gun trained on the man, but she bet it would be pointless for him to fire. “Don’t bother.” Elyse said, eyes on Dom’s target. “How much you wanna bet someone back in the house is guarding him right now?” She’d place her money on the metal manipulator; that would be the logical choice.

Do I have everything? Ryan wondered to himself as his eyes scanned the various shapes, sizes and color of magazines spread out on the table. His two hand guns and assault rifle sat pristine clean with new barrels and loading mechanisms, nothing worse that having a gun jam. Due to the nature of the mission he had requested replaceable non-magnetic weapon components and had been issued plastic webbing. The ammunition that he was now checking over for the fifth time was an array of ceramic hollow points, military grade plastics, shredders and incendiary rounds. Colored blue, Grey, green and red respectively.
His tactical vest had also been altered to allow for a higher magazine capacity. The alterations came in the form of a belt that hung along the hem on his back and strips of pockets running vertical up each side of his chest. Just as he had done four times already Ryan put the magazines one by one from the desk into their allotted pockets, before holstering his weapons arming them with ceramic ammo. Also in his arsenal was a gas mark and two gas grenades and two frag grenades, all of which were now slung from the extra webbing and special issue plastics.
With all the weapons in check he reached for his ear piece, after putting it on a loud feedback screech tore through his ear. Dom is obviously here, I hope that kid is wearing a helmet, His ind briefly recalled the mission they had been on together and then he thought of Pike, she would obviously be here and with any luck the two of them would keep each other alive. Stark would also be knocking around probably getting herself in to trouble but if the rumours of gilgamesh were true then chances are they had nothing to worry about. After slipping a balaclava over his head and attaching his helmet he gave his gauntlet the fiftieth check, making sure the power meter was green, the metal was polished and the seals were tight.
With all the equipment checked over for the ritualistic fifth time he paced out of his room. The whir of the helicarrier's engines and the almost rhythmic sound of helicopters and planes taking off greeted him. People, mutant and Human alike, were rushing around going to and from stations, many people were armed and all of them were tense.
For some this mission was a big thing, there was 'alot at stake' for some for others it was their first serious mission. Ryan couldn't help but notice however that if you took the political impact that this mission held and looked sensibly at the numbers then the new order were highly in favor of winning this 'battle'. Also the fact that the satellite imagery had only given a read on a dozen or so mutants, and the fact that only a handful of them were any real threat, told Ryan that this mission was all hype.
Hype that paid really really well.
Ryan paced from the armory through the helicarriers winding corridors and out on to the launch pad, he now looked like any other soldier new order soldier especially after taking special care to cover his gauntlet with a glove and long sleeves. Climbing into the back of a helicopter he tapped the pilot on the head telling him to take off.
Ryan's eyes scanned the soon to be battlefield, he could have judged the Resistance for trying to make such a foolish move. But it didn't matter to him, he only needed to survive, which wouldn't be hard, and then get paid.

OOC: Permission was granted to join this thread late. Thank you.
IC: So it seemed that all the rumours he had heard since arriving back in America had been true. The NO was serious about removing what it had called 'an extreme threat to the security of the free citizens of America' right here in their own backyard. Well they certainly wern't coming to this party unprepared it seemed. All the reports he heard told of at least a full company of NO mechanized infantry, containment teams, air support, and quite possibly if the reports were accurate, an amoured company aswell. But then there was so much traffic on the radios it was hard to get a full count of what was being deployed. What he did know for certain was that over head there was infact a state of the art flying fortress, one of the impressive Helicarriers.
Gone now was the sharp suit, replaced with a form fitting body armour, much like a wet suit, interweaved with Kevlar thread and carbon composites. Light weight and flexible it was capable of withstand cuts and tears from a range of sources as well as some protection from firearms at a range. How effective it would be against mutants who could blow up trucks and break steel was yet to be seen but it gave its wearer some small boost of confidence. Also gone was the grounding armband his retainers had forced him to wear on his flight over allowing him the full use of his inherited gifts. Holstered at his side hung a Latverian manufactured sidearm not dissimilar to the Desert Eagle of the 21st century.
Gregori stepped lightly down the entry ramp of the apc that carried him here with a small unit of NO men, his ear piece still spitting out reports from all over the field. He tapped it once to filter out traffic as his eyes wandered the scene, mouth opening silently as he looked up, watching the scene unfold infront of him as another man, a mutant no doubt descended from the clouds above them ike some ungodly beast. Even in a world full of strange and wonderous things it was refreshing to still be amazed by certain sights.
The latverian took a deep breath and moved forwards with the accompanying unit, moving closer to where he could make out the lights dancing around a woman who was no doubt the famous Sara Stark, someone not unknown to him, at least professionally. As he came closer his eyes flicked to the odd sight of a six armed woman discussing something with a young looking male with a wild mane of hair, watching as he seemed to hesitate before lowering his gun.
Von Doom surveyed the scene ahead of him with interest...there was something going on up ahead...

「 Boys and girls pretend to know me, they try so hard 」
「 And I get what I want, my name is my credit card 」 What a gathering. There was quite the New Order presence--all the helicopters, the motor vehicles and the soldiers seemed a bit of an overkill--but the Resistance and SHIELD had offered a not as impressive yet not be to underrated turnout. The experience of each of those involved would be varied and the same would stand for the powers and power levels, which just made things even more interesting. Despite the number of soldiers, available artillery and vehicles, there was an overall problem with the pairings and how the numbers would be worked out. Though she hated to say it, mutants were typically superior to humans in terms of being able to handle the other and though that might have not been an issue for the soldiers in the New Order forces, there was very little time to develop equipment specific for this mission.
As the heavy music commenced, the Black Warrior Princess' designated jeep pulled up towards the front line. The driver halted the vehicle with prudence and fell into formation with the other land transports. Her eyes first landed upon the face of the driver for a moment and later turned towards the X-Mansion and memorial. They must have thought that it was some sort of strong symbol of strength and determination if they took their stand where their former colleagues had made lives for themselves years before; however, it didn't add to their cause anymore than it would have if they were down in the South. It did make the confrontation a bit more fulfilling though, the Resistance could fall where their predecessors once stood.
Asteria stayed motionless in the jeep before removing her aviator sunglasses and surveyed the area without the added shade of black. She kept her eyes on the X memorial while her hand reached for the door and forced it outwards. Though she was not dressed in a uniform that could be related to the New Order or any other organization, she was dressed in a uniform, courtesy of the Hellfire Club. She swung her legs out of the vehicle and allowed her heeless knee-highs to hit the ground with a sound completely inaudible due to the heavy metal music playing.
The Hellfire progeny stepped forward from the between two jeeps and presented herself to whoever might have noticed her. Their outside help had made his presence known and Asteria took note before halting not far behind where Sparkler stood. Her field experience with the New Order was a whopping total of zero, so this might end up being different from the training at the Hellfire facility but she figured that it wasn't going to matter once the confrontation began.
A person didn't have to be a empath to tell what people were feeling, at least not all the time. And for some reason, hope was the prevailing feeling emitted from this group. Their hope was what gave them the gumption to take a stand and their hope was going to ultimately be their down fall.< Pop, pop, popular! Was Claude intimidated by the army? the tanks? the Helicarrier? As he stood there with nothing but a magnetic field stopping them from pumping him full of lead? Yes actually he was...and quite nervous too. Would he let it show? Not if he could help it. "Al'right....I gave yea a chance, don't blame Claude when yea'll be regrettin' this." he informed, before stepping back so he could jump into the jeep, pulling out his cell phone.
"Warstar my dear, would you do that little thing we talked about?" he asked over the phone, before reversing that jeep like a mother fucker as he made his way back to the garage and some cover. Once out of the way, the New York born Cajun made his way back to the main assemble, one hand on his sword, the other at his gun, waiting for the fireworks. "You gone'wanna watch this, Claude got somethin'real nice." he smiled.

Lily...or rather Warstar in this instance, put down the phone. It was her big moment, she took a deep breath....reached to the can of Monster next to her and took several very large sips from it.....then another deep breath. The Helicarrier, that was her target.
The Half-Russian X-man focused on the Helicarrier before reaching out both arms, channeling his powers she searched out its magnetic field. As it would happen...finding the magnetic field of something that large was very easy. She had it....the field at least, working with it was another thing. With movements of her nimble fingers Warstar continued to channel her energies, she had made EMP's before, but never one so large as to take out something like that.
She felt her body shake as she started to vibrate its electromagnetic field, she felt the strain, like someone was putting a blanket made out of lead on her. Beads of sweat formed on her head, her hands started shaking, with one massive thrust of her powers she caused the field to fluctuate suddenly, initiating an electromagnetic pulse, crippling the Helicarrier, and dooming it to descend, but she couldn't let that happen either, where it landed might have been occupied by nothing but road and an NO army, but if it fell the explosion could devastate the whole area for miles around.
Both arms were extended as she tried to, not really magnetically take a hold of the helicarrier, but just slow down its descent, she could feel a trickle of blood fall out her nostril, sweat was pouring down her head, she barely noticed that some of the jets had been caught in the EMP and crashed hard, she was too busy trying to make sure they didn't all die in a massive explosion.
Slowly the Helicarrier came down, before finally touching down, crushing everything beneath it......satisfied that it wouldn't explode at this point, Lily let go, before collapsing backwards, barely conscious enough to watch the Helicarrier keel over to one side.

Renee put her left hand on the wall that framed the window paying very little attention to the others around her, lightly she slowly drummed her fingertips on it. She wished she could hear what was being said she wanted to know if the oldest Lebeau was trying to get them a deal where they all didn't die a number of times she look to the handle on the window and was very tempted to turn it so she could hear them but just in case the tried to use gas it was best not to help them in anyway. After a few minutes Renee turned away and rested her back against the wall " This is driving me mad...Why can't we just do this" she said no no person again this time she took a few seconds out to look around and see the other members, try and see if they where just as nervous as she was.
As she waited Renee heard a noise from out side maybe this was it the start of the fight, thinking this Renee's heartbeat picked up and she let out a short shaky breath but there wasn't a sound of gun fire from what she could hear, she could hear cars starting and some driving but no bullets being fired not yet. Renee at once moved again to look out the window but what ever was happening she couldn't see from the angel, quickly Renee moved to another window and this time she could see something, the view still gave her an unclear idea of just what was happening but she hoped it was good for her side. Twisting her head to look she tried hard to see what was going on and caught a glimpse of something big coming out of the sky " Oh....Shit that doesn't look good" She said mostly to herself but felt that the slight alarm in her voice was good enough to allow the others the option of trying to catch a glimpse.
