Amongst us live beings with varying degrees of power. They have, in the past been known to use this to disrupt our generic society, yet they also seem to strive for independence. Due to the nature of their existence, they have come to be called Mutants. A despicable term used to label those that manifest powers outside of human philosophies. They hide out within our society; careful to keep their powers deeply hidden so that they can continue to lead a normal life.
Peace is nothing more than a word on paper, or a single syllable of speech. Today, peace does not exist.Humans fight for their superiority while mutants fight for their rights as people. One single gene divides the world in two – are mutants still the same, or is this disease something to be exterminated? With a genetic makeup that allows for incredible feats to be performed, they are feared – they were even incarcerated when found. Worse than the discrimination against gender, ethnicity, or sexuality, any discovered with this illness is blocked from society, most of the time beaten or arrested under frivolous charges. The witch hunts of the 1600s have begun again, and there are many that are willing fight for the cause of humanity, and also for the cause of the righteous, for those without a voice; the mutants.
Blood is being shed, and there’s no telling who will continue standing where they initially rose. Some will change sides after a revelation, while others will remain headfast and steady. The mutants had harbored no ill will toward human kind, though there are rumors that they will longer take the insults any longer. They once desired peace and harmony, where both races could be considered as equals.
Now they want revenge.
