Just like old times (Kielar)

Renee put her left foot foot on the board and slowly rolled it forward a little and then pulled it back a little, she hadn't done this is years and there was the very high risk that she may have forgotten how this is done she hoped the principle of its just like riding a bike you never forget could apply to this otherwise it would be another bruise and if anyone watched it would be a big one on her ego. Renee used to Skateboard all the time it drove her mother Emma round the bend because she had wanted her first born to be prim and proper and until her sister Michelle came along Emma and Renee had gotten into more fights than a cat and dog, Renee was always happy in jeans and a baggy t-shirt Emma had wanted dresses. Renee at once stopped the memory cold, even though she hadn't had the strongest bond with her mother she did have a bond and now that it was gone thinking about times she could have spoken to her mother better gave Renee a stabbing pain in her stomach that she didn't like.

Looking at the walkway at the front of the main entrance Renee looked down at her skateboard and shoved the board forward with her left foot and helped push it for speed with her right, she pushed her right off the ground three times before allowing it to rest on the board behind her left. Her fire orange hair blew back with the speed and Renee felt a grin pull at her lips and it was getting wider. Seeing a turn come around Renee let her body lean to the right and the board leaned with her when she was around the side of the mansion she pushed her right foot down another three times pushing the speed faster. Another lean to the right and she was at the back, leaning to the left this time Renee went straight toward the pool area seeing no one there at the moment she wanted to really see if she remembered all the tricks not just riding. She did a very quick poolside scan and seeing one of the lower deck chairs she aimed her self for it in her mind she knew that she could be pushing it that she could fall smack her head on the tiled surround and it would be her own stupid fault, but she wasn't slowly down. Inch by inch she got closer and then when she was close enough Renee forced the board to kick up into the air over the chair turn and be the right way up in time for the land. When the wheels hit down on the other side Renee tried not to but it just burst from her a loud laugh and a long whoop to herself as the board coasted on with out her encouragement on wards only needing her for the turn to the side and then lastly to the front of the house again. Renee was allowing the board to roll to a gentle stop laughing to herself from the thrill she got from the simple ride around the mansion, her eyes on the ground she didn't hear anyone and it was rolling to a stop that if she bumped anyone she would doubt they would notice.

Kielar Maximoff pulled up to the mansion for the first time in a few days. It was always like this with him, back and forth. Nobody really knew where he went or what he did and often times nobody ever asked. It wasn't like he would tell either. It wasn't anybodies business. Of course the few that had asked in the past had regretted it. The Maximoff boy would tell them in great detail something that did not happen, but it would be something so believable and something he would actually do that they believed him. Never did they ask again. He would grin and smirk, get a little twinkle in his eye as they hurried away from him, it was the easiest thing sometimes.

He stepped out of the car and stood in front of the mansion in a daze. It was strange being back this time. After what happened between him and Dom, he hadn't wanted to come back, but he knew he had to, or everyone would go looking for him. Kielar just wished he could have stayed longer. As he stood there, he felt a little tap on his leg and looked down. He saw the skateboard, and slowly looked up, but already knew who it was. There was no doubt that it was Renee Drake.

With a smile he looked at her right in the eyes. "Hey" he said with a grin. "You pulled out the old skateboard. Its been ages since I've seen one. Still got your moves no doubt." he moved around and kneeled down. "Your wheels should be tightened just a little more, they've been loosened and we wouldn't want you to get hurt beautiful."

Renee looked up when the board stopped and she felt another person close by her she at once looked up to say she was sorry but as she did a pair of ice blue eyes locked on hers. She at once smiled brightly as she knew those eyes only a few people had eyes like those "Kie" she said her voice didn't hide her happiness and why should it, she hated when Kielar left but loved when he came back. She wanted to let Kielar know that he had people here that cared for him that he shouldn't feel the need to leave because he was welcome here ans so at once she stepped off the skateboard and wrapped her arms around his waist. When he spoke about her skate board she looked down at it and let him go with a small shrug and a laugh "What can I say I got board...And I miss me" she said the last part had been in a softer tone. There was no denying that Renee had not been herself for quite a while, she had been so busy thinking about being a member of the resistance fighting the New Order pushing her powers to do more help her build up her skills so that when the day came that they went to fight there would be no doubt in anyones mind that she could and should join them because she had worked hard for it.

When Kielar knelt down and looked at the bolts on her wheels she rolled her eyes playfully "Hey theres nothing wrong with my baby shes aged and refined beside I like that they are a little lose help the board to turn faster because they have more room to angle...besides what would you know pretty boy its been years longer than me that you've been on one of these things so don't come the big shot" she said playfully as she pushed her foot down on the end of the board to kick it up and took a grip of the axle. Renee tried her best not to get to excited by the nick name he called her but she did like Kielar even if they had a rocky relationship. The pair never seemed to ever bring it up but they where in a small way casual lovers when ever one or both of them felt they needed a comforting embrace they would go to one another spend the night and the next day act like nothing had happened. But Renee couldn't help but like Kielar , she wouldn't enter into that kind of a silent understanding with just anyone.
