Dealing with Gilgamesh {Avengers v Gilgamesh}

[IRON MAN]

Continued from here....

"X-men.....help your friends. I'll deal with him." His voice had a slight electronic sound to it, the result of passing through his suit. Only a moment later however, he was knocked from his position, the downed Gilgamesh got took the tiny moment of recovery he needed after suck a strike.

"You think you've got what it takes to beat me? I'll crush you...." Gilgamesh spat back, hate near spilling out of his glowing red eyes.

"No...I don't have what it takes.....but I've got a few new friends who do...." Tony took a deep breath, prepared to say two words that hadn't passed from his lips in years, words that had gone on unsaid for far too long! "AVENGERS....ASSEMBLE!"

[ALEXANDER THORSON]

There was an explosion of thunder and lightning before an exotic hammer weapon was hurled towards Gilgamesh from its center. Someone had to fill the role of Thor in the new team of Avengers, and with Thor unable to attend, Alexander was filling the Oath to respond to the call. When Iron Man came to Alexander to ask him to join, the supposed God of Strength gave his word he would attend, for he had sworn to his father that if Midgard needed him in such a way, he would honour his fathers oath.

The Thorson knew the call was coming, Iron Man had given him the information about the New Order's most corrupt attack and the presence of the super power that was Gilgamesh, well now he faced the mightiest warrior birthed of either Olympus or Asgard. "I know thee are of fractured mind....but even so....HAVE AT THEE!" he roared as he leapt into action, his hammer returning to his hand.

[WINTER STAR]

As a New Order helicopter circled overhead it suddenly began to jar and jolt around before coming to a complete standstill. The heavy thudding of the blades through the air dispersed with sounds of combat all around the ground. Suddenly 3 men fell from the chopper, bound in rope and landing on the grass below; bruised but alive.

Suddenly a burst of static breaks out from the speakers mounted to the side of the helicopter as it begins to sway left and right.

"For a long time now I thought that the world needed no heroes." The feminine voice spoke clearly, making even some of the surrounding soldiers look up. Suddenly a figure lept from the side of the machine as the chopper exploded in the sky. Dusting herself off and standing up straight the young woman looked across the field at the young powerful mutant that stood, "Turns out I was wrong."

Reaching to her back Winter Star took her black shield and held it firmly in her grip, the red star shining bright as she began a dash towards the battle. Not breaking stride once she watched Iron Man and Thorson before stopping by their side, taking up a defensive stance.

"I believe that you have something that belongs to me there kid. Come quietly and no more harm need be done today."

Avengers, well there was a name that stood out in history. A name that was loud and pride and by some spoken with reverence and pride though by others, such as her father, it was with a tone of annoyance.

Either way it hardly mattered what they were and when they were formed, all that mattered is she now was fighting for the 'good' guys, just like her Dad was. one step closer to joining shield, this meant one step closer to working alongside her age old father.

The night was alight with muzzle flash and energy blasts. Her target, Gilgamesh, of whom she had dubbed Losermesh stood tall though admittedly battered especially after her team mate sent his hammer in to Losermesh's face.

As the hammer retracted Sandra made her move coming in at a pelting sprint, she passed unhindered by by the reported fear that generally gripped most who faced off. Sure he was powerful, but she was as close to immortal as it came.

Coming into a slide she made a move left, but it was a dummy taking his attention from her real goal. A file on his past deeds had graced her palms only recently and so when she spun she slid underneath him bringing her blade to bear between his legs.

Eat this you perverted FUCK!

[REBEL]

Desiree ran along what was left of the wall that surround the old mansion. It was a memory of her childhood that had long been destroyed, and it was the first time she had come back to it. She wasn't supposed to be there, she was supposed to be back in Louisiana resting. Desiree was stubborn though, and she wanted to fight. So, she had become an Avenger. It was an honor really, though she was still unsure of why she was called on. She could hardly see herself as an X-men, but now, she was going to make a name for herself.

Leaping down from the wall with three knives in her hand, she charged them with kinetic energy and aimed them straight at Gilgamesh. As she landed, one knee landed on the ground before she stood straight up, landing slightly in front of Alex and Tony. As she stood up, her bo-staff extended, preparing to use it she lifted it of the ground slightly, to make it easier to move. Her red eyes pierced the person in front of her, the target. Though she knew others were around her, her main focus was Gilgamesh.

She was small in size compared to the others, in fact she probably looked like a mere child instead of someone in her late teens. It often annoyed her when that mistake happened, but there was nothing she could really do. Her long brown hair was pulled out of her face, and her white bangs framing her face. She wore a black uniform, with a trench coat over it, something she did in honor of her father. Her hands were covered with fingerless gloves, and they gripped the bo-staff as she spun it once and slid her right leg back.

"Y' wan' some, c'mon din." Desiree said, a smirk on her face as she prepared for a fight.

[IRON MAN]

The new team of Avengers arrived at his call, delivering a swift arriving attack against Gilgamesh. This would balance things out here. Thorson would fill in his "fathers" role on the team, Barnes would, in time, fill in the role of her legal guardian Captain America, one she was put on a better plateau. Sandra, while perhaps a big dangerous but she brought that lethal edge of Wolverine or Ares. Desiree, while seemingly much less of a warrior then the rest of the team, would serve as an excellent agent, she might need some more training, but she'd fill the role of Hawkeye well in time. She was already handy with that bo-staff and the throwing knives.

Regardless, they had taken down Gilgamesh, but it wasn't over yet! "Keep on him until he's not moving, don't worry he can take it, now clear the way, unibeam coming through!" It was a larger then usual blast from his chest, full poured to knock down Gilgamesh as he tried to get up, they had to keep him down and well.....kick him. It wasn't the most heroic combat tactic "beat down and dog pile" but it would have to do. The team didn't have that Avengers teamwork training yet.

[GILGAMESH]

Gilgamesh was honestly surprised when the hammer hit him, it was a blow like nothing he had expected. Sure, he came to fight some rag-tag resistance left over X-men....not Iron Man's latest incarnation of the Avengers. First he was hit by the hurled hammer, knocking him clear off his feet and landing hard, he was given no time to recover before someone, a woman, was on him with a large knife, he didn't care for what kind in particular. His durability stopped the skin from being broken, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt.....then the machete came down hard on his testicles. It was not appreciated.

But again they kept up their attack. several small explosions around him and on him, then just as he had nearly pulled himself off the ground Iron Man's unibeam slammed into him, kicking him over and back onto the ground. He knew himself that he could have taken this sort of punishment easily if he was more in the zone, but he hadn't expected this, he wasn't prepared for it, now aches all over his body were the reminder of how great hindsight was.

Sandra slid to a stop behind Losermesh, the filthy perverted mess of a super villain. then she heard Iron Man unleash his mega beam blast and quickly rolled out of the way to avoid being hit by the falling titan.

With Gilgamesh down Sandra drew out a second machete and began to hack at his body, taken over by the thirst for the man's blood. The laser sharpened metal slid over his skin and sliced through his clothes as she brought it down on his face and chest, how much pain she was causing couldn't be seen as she wasn't able to really break the skin.

It seemed after several flurries that she her blades were blunting so then proceeded to slam her superstrengthed heels into his face, again and again stamping on the fallen omega class mutant.

[ALEXANDER THORSON]

Ah ha! The offensive was going excellently! Alexander's hammer had hit true and left the foe's confidence so shaken he was barely able to defend himself! But while Gilgamesh had underestimated his foes, The Thorson was not going to make any such mistake. With quick feet he ran to close the distance between the downed Gilgamesh and himself, hammer held high in one hand as he did. "Stand back Sandra, this one's a heavy hit!" he warned as his massive frame came rampaging down upon the two.

A massive bolt of lightning, the like that would never naturally appear tore down from the sky before seemingly attaching itself to the head of the hammer, following the last few feet before Alexander swung it down on Gilgamesh with enough force to send a minor tremor through the immediate area. There was a massive boom of thunder, and when all was passed, Thorson stood above his foe. "Let us hear your threats now that you face Alexander Thorson!"

[WINTER STAR]

Unlike her team-mate so far Winter Star hadn't raised a hand to fight against Gilgamesh. Mainly because she had the added risk of having nothing to fall back on should he blast back other than a slightly heightened human physiology and her shield. From her defensive stance she tracked her team mates with her eyes and the levels of effectivness against the mighty mutant they battled.

They had him on the ropes so to speak, however even a rat could fight back when backed into a corner. The big hitters in the form of Thorson and Iron Man had enough strength and force to knock Gilgamesh off his feet and cause some damage. Sandra was feral to be sure with great close skills but should Gilgamesh get up she wouldn't be able to stand that strengths; then again he would have a time trying to interfere with her constant barrage. Then there was Rebel, the longshot and melee factor rolled into one kineticly charged package with enough force probably to level Gilgamesh with a good thwack of her staff.

As Iron Man led the assault with a uni beam Winter Star broke off from the main group and skidded to a halt about the flank of the main battle, resuming her defensive stance. A perfect spot to launch an attack from if the right opening appeared. Sandra was smashing all she had into Gilgamesh as Thorson called forth a mighty hammer shot, fueled by lightning itself as it made contact. The shockwave rippled but Star kept firm on her feet. Watching the result she knew that she could contribute little to this battle against such a foe, all she was doing now was taking up a position of support; the dummy role.

Looking at her team mates she felt out of place a little. All that was going through her head was reclaiming Steve's shield for him and keeping alive, she held little to no value to her more powerful team mates either injured or dead.

[REBEL]

Desiree knew that if she got too close to Gilgamesh that she wouldn't do very good. No, she knew that she was better from far away, and that if she focused her kinetic energy in a certain way then her attack would work. She knew that it would take a lot, she knew that it would take focus, and simply, she hadn't had much training since escaping the New Order.Desiree knew though that she had to be strong. She had chosen to take a stand and fight, she had chosen to do this and she had to go through with it.

Stepping forward after Alex's attack her bostaff swung around, glowing brightly as she charged it with kinetic energy. She was putting more into it that usual, and knew it was dangerous, but she needed to push her limits and as she slammed the bo-staff into the ground, the bo-staff stopped glowing, and underneath a layer of dirt the energy shot towards Gilgamesh, small explosion taking place as it made its way too him, but the bulk of the charge went straight at him, and as the explosion happened, a shield went up around Desiree and her team mates, blacking them from being hit by debri that may have gone flying.

[GILGAMESH]

Strike after blow after explosion came down on Gilgamesh, he was being rushed, pinned down and battered. He gritted his teeth and set out a small explosion of force, something rushed, just to give him breathing room. He gave one quick glance to these new Avengers, he had their faces committed to memory, he'd recognize them next time. He'd have his revenge.

"This isn't over....." spat Gilgamesh, then he was just, leaving nothing more then a shattered ground where he had kicked off and a trail of barely glowing energy showing where he had flown off too.

Her thrashing ceased in an instant at Thorson's command. Before the lightning bolt had gone out the world around her exploded... twice. A translucent purple barrier protected her from the first, a quick note taken of this kinetikisis user's power, before shattering under the burst of energy from Gilgamesh which felt something along the same line as a car crash.

The distance between herself and Thorson went from meters to Nil in an instant as her slight frame knocked against his Asgardian build and with an umph she fell into his arms.

"Ain't you a sweet heart" she smiled before what felt like an earthquake signaled Gilgamesh's departure. She climbed out of Thorson's arms and gazed after the omega classed mutants bright trial. A similar trail that perhaps a slug would leave because that's what he was, just a parasite, a pest.

Turning to Iron man, of whom had given her the opening to make her advance as well as invited her to this shindig,

Thanks for the invite boss man, what the next plan of action? She smiled sweetly eying up the rest of her new teammates, well this would be the second time she had been a part of a group. The first time that she had been a part of a group of super heroes however, this was going to be a lot of fun.
