• Power [/color] | Monica has the mutant ability to transform into a living mass of ultraviolet radiation. Just like her mother, she achieves this feat by mentally placing the matter of her body into the small dimension from which she gets her energy from and then replacing it with the ultraviolet radiation. Her mind remains behind in the dimension to control the energy that has taken the place of her body. When she takes on the ultraviolet form, she also takes on its properties.

When Monica is in her ultraviolet form, she appears invisible to the naked eye. But if she wants she can make it so that her form is visible to people. When she is visible, she appears as a mass of violet light that has taken the shape and features of her human body. She gains a number of abilities when in this form as well, like her mother. Monica, when in ultraviolet form, has the power to fly maxing out at near the speed of light. She can phase through solid matter as well and energy fields depending on their wavelengths. She can absorb other sources of ultraviolet radiation when she is in this form too without injury.

A way for her to attack is that she is able to produce energy blasts. These energy blasts can be fired from any part of her body when she is in ultraviolet form and they have the intensity of being hit with laser beams. She mentally controls the size and amount of energy that she puts out so that she can attack a person by just knocking them over with a few, small, burn marks instead of burning a hole through them. Producing energy blasts is also achievable even when she is in human form by creating small interfaces with the dimension she gets her powers from and then allowing the energy to pass through her hands.
• Weapons [/color] | Not truly a weapon, but she can use her voodoo staff to beat a person with.
• Weaknesses [/color] | Monica has to be careful of how long she stays in ultraviolet form when she is around others. People that are in her immediate area can be harmed by the radiation that her body gives off. Prolong exposure to it can cause a number of different effects in people depending on the length of exposure. Monica herself is immune to the radiation, but others are susceptible. Many objects pass right through her, but if you attack her with any object made of lead, she will feel it. When she's in ultraviolet form, hitting her with something like a lead pipe would be felt as if she were in human form. She can be trapped in a lead prison since she can't phase through lead.

Whenever she is using her magic, she has to first speak an incantation or chant before she can use it. This is a weakness for a person simply has to gag her or cover her mouth with something. If she can't speak then her voodoo magic is useless! When she is in human form, she can be injured by natural means. In order for her to continue performing magic, she has to pray to her gods every day. If she doesn't they will strip her for being forsaken.
• Skills[/color] | Monica is a Mambo sur Pwen of voodoo so she has nearly mastered the magic aspect. The gods of the Loa grant her a number of abilities as well for her to employ. This is a small list of some of the things that she is capable of doing. All of her magic is derived from chanting a spell or incantation. Monica is an expert in Voodoo magic with only a small knowledge in the outside sources of magic.

Healing/Resurrection: Much like the Loa god Baron Samedi, she has the power to heal a person of their wounds and bring the dead back to life. But when she does bring the dead back, they are not their usual selves. Instead they are mindless zombies that heed her every command. If the person had powers, they will maintain them only on a weaker level.

Hypnotism: By locking eyes with a person, animal, or plant and then speaking the incantation, she can hypnotize the object into become a slave to her words and commands.

Weather Control: Monica can control certain aspects of the weather. She can make rainstorms, thunderstorms with gale force winds, hurricanes, and tsunamis. Unlike the X-Man Storm, Monica can not focus the weather into one specific area. If she makes it rain, it will rain everywhere within a five mile radius. Once the storm of choosing has started, the only way to stop it is to chant the incantation again. She can't make it extremely hot, or cold, or make snow or blizzards. Just things related to rain. Tsunami and hurricanes can only be made when close to large bodies of water.

Smoke Screen: Just like her father, she can create a veil of smoke that conceals her location from others. Accompanying this smoke is the sound of voodoo drums which causes those caught in it to become disoriented and unnerved. Monica herself can see through the veil perfectly.

Fire Trance: By entering a trance, she can become immune to the effects of fire. While in this trance she can manipulate fire as she sees fit. But in order to do this, there has to be a source around, she doesn't actually create the flames.

Monica possesses several voodoo dolls which uses on her victims other voodoo related objects and spells. Most of her magic is black in nature, though some is white. She knows a number of other spells that can allow her to levitate, teleport, perform exorcisms, manipulate elements, and other things. If it involves voodoo, she can do.

• Overall Appearance[/color] | Being a model, Monica has a bit of a slim figure. She isn't a walking stick like some models out there; she does indeed have lovely curves. She loves everything about her skin from the dark hue of it to the silky smoothness. Monica has a strikingly beautiful face with supple, full lips, thick eyebrows, and gorgeous, gray eyes. She wears makeup most of the time since her job requires it, but will occasionally go all natural when out and about. She likes to wear her drown hair in a straight fashion with its length reaching down to her back.

Monica likes to wear the top of the line fashion brands that she can be seen modeling in. Not only that, but she likes to wear the casual every day stuff as well like jeans and t-shirts. She can go from wearing a fancy, expensive dress to a ripped t-shirt and skirt. Monica also dresses the part of her status as a voodoo priestess too. She wears an outfit that is similar to THIS ONE when she is at home or with her people. Along with the priestess “uniform” she paints a white skull over her face or white horizontal lines across the mouth, or a white hand.

• Overall Personality[/color] | Hmm... what's a good word to describe Monica's personality? Some would say that creepy is a perfect summary while she prefers eccentric. The girl is the daughter of a voodoo Houngan so she's going to have some qualities that would be considered weird to the outside world. But Monica doesn't care about that. She was raised in the religion of Voodoo and therefore plays the part well. In many ways she is like her father, but unlike him, she enjoys inflicting pain on others when necessary. Her parents may have been on the “good side” of the law, but that didn't really pass on to their daughter. She likes to think of herself as “gray.”

Monica doesn't proactively go out of her way to help other people like your average vigilante or hero does. Nor does she put a lot of effort into causing chaos in the world without reasonable cause. If some one needs the help, whether for good or evil, she will help them IF they come to HER. Putting her Voodoo religion aside, Monica has much of the same qualities of her mother. For instances, if a person mouths off to her, she'll mouth off back followed by a punch to the nose. She is an intelligent woman that knows how to conduct herself in the public eye. Afterall she is a model!

• Overall history[/color] | Jericho Drumm, known to the community as a whole as Brother Voodoo, is a Houngan of the voodoo religion and a known hero. He has served along side numerous heroes of past, saving the world and its citizens from harm coming in many forms. During his adventures he met another hero, Captain Marvel aka Monica Rambeau and the two of them began an on-again-off-again relationship. This went on for awhile with neither of them baking any commitment to the other. Soon though, Jericho wanted more form than just a fling. After one of their hookups, Monica later found out that she was pregnant with a baby girl. Deciding that it would be best for the child, the two of them finally settled down together getting married.

The relationship was a little strained with Jericho being the Sorcerer Supreme, but they made it work. When their daughter was born they decided to name her Monica after her mother. The girl known as Monica Drumm was born and raised in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. It was here that she developed her voodoo ways. She followed closely in the steps of her father wanting to learn everything that there was to know about the enigmatic religion of voodoo. She was absolutely enthralled in the culture, loving every aspect of it, even the darker side. She learned about all of the Loa gods how to serve them properly. By the age of ten, Monica had a great taste for voodoo.

When the girl turned thirteen years old, her mutant powers became active in the form of an ultraviolet radiation form. At first the girl thought that her powers were from the gods, but her mother showed her that she had developed the powers from herself. Along with her voodoo magic, Monica began to develop her mutant powers with the help of her mother. By the age of fifteen, the girl had a particular choice of profession in mind. Since she was so beautiful, Monica decided that she would try her hand at modeling. She auditioned for several modeling gigs that were appropriate for her age, and ended up landing a spot for the American Eagle clothing brand.

With her career as a model starting to pick up, life was well! Almost well. It was during this age that her father was challenged for his role as Sorcerer Supreme by a woman calling herself Majestic. Monica was there to witness the battle between the two and the defeat of her father, his title being stripped. Monica grew pissed at the woman responsible for beating her father and vowed to one day reclaim the title that she believed belongs to her family. But her father didn't want her to act out on her feelings of revenge for it was a fair fight that he simply lost. Just to please him, she listened... but still secretly wanted to take the role of Sorceress Supreme.

Putting her feelings aside so that she may focus on her career, Monica's modeling caught the attention of many high brand connoisseurs. She gladly accepted the jobs finally making it to the big time at the age of eighteen. It was around the age of twenty that she also became what is known as a junior priestess in the voodoo religion. She was chosen due to her incredible aptitude for the magic and her knowledge of the Loa. Her religion though was kept secret from the modeling industry since it was possible that no one would want to hire her because of it. Monica landed numerous gigs that paid extremely well, traveled all over the world, and modeled on the biggest runways. Her talent and beauty even landed her a spot in the famous Playboy magazine.

Life was good for Monica Drumm and still is to this day. But the twenty three year old woman has not forgotten her goal of becoming the Sorceress Supreme.
