The New Order, what a shitty organization. The joint forced mutants into a life of servitude so hell they might as well be called slave runners. Unfortunately Calvin Toynbee ended up as one of them a few years back. He'd always wanted a way out of their clutches, but could never come up with one on his own. Recently though, he found himself a little help in that area. Thanks to the little bombing of the X-Men statues he pulled, he gained the attention of a man known as Mister Sinister, that same man that his mother used to work for. She told him everything that she knew about the man and even encouraged him to join up with the guy. So, he did.
The guy found a way for the green mutant to make an exit. It would begin with receive false information about a rumored mutant uprising that was taking place in this underground base located at the central station. Calvin took the information to one of his coworkers, the lovely and beautiful Elyse Pike. The girl was stunning, could use a little more meat on her, but she was stunning. Calvin had told her of the mutant situation and that he wanted her backup for when he went to investigate. Thankfully she agreed to go with him, why exactly was anyone's guess.
An hour later and the two of them were at the station. Calvin was dressed in his usual muscle shirt and shorts fashion, terribly unfit for a hostile situation that might occur. He looked back to the young lady with a grin. ”Hope you're ready for this, love. Cause I sure as hell am.”
Elyse followed the green-skinned man to the station. It was a little odd that this wasn't coming from Sara, Ryan or one of her other superiors, but it really sounded like their help was needed so she agreed to go with him. She really didn't know the guy very well but he seemed okay so far. Bathing a little more often might do him some good though, and she could definitely live without seeing him snack on insects.
At the station Elyse looked around, checking for signs of trouble. Actually it seemed kind of quiet, and she wondered where the people were. If there was an uprising though, they were probably hiding. She was prepared for trouble though; her multi-weapon belt concealed by her jacket had four guns; two loaded with standard bullets and two loaded with tranquilizers. Hopefully they wouldn't be necessary.
"So where are these troublemakers?" Elyse asked her coworker quietly.
He watched them quietly as they walked past the crowds int eh station and out towards the tracks, ignoring the looks the people gave them. Their insignia identified them as New Order operatives and no one really wanted to tangle with an organisation that 'recruited' mutants. You never knew what you might catch.
So far everything was going according to plan. The green skinned mutant had indeed decided to follow the instructions given to him and had even recruited another to his little errand. She would be perfect for the final stages. Sinister smiled as he turned back to his paper, melting into the crowds and disapearing. Things were about to get interesting for the pair, all for a good cause of course.
There was a scream from one of the tunnels leading down to the platforms as a pedestrian flew up the stairs and barreled into the crowds at the top, toppling many of them like dominos. As one the people seemed to surge away from whatever was making all the crashing sounds down the stairs, pushing and shoving to get as far away from it as possible, piling through the exits or cowering in stores. There was another scream that ended rather abruptly followed by a deep rumbling chuckle that trailed off as the source of the sound seemed to move away...
