• Power | Christopher is a very powerful telekinetic however with an unusual manifestation. Chris is unable to tell the difference between reality and fiction and has never truly grown up thus he frequently hallucinates animated creatures in his everyday life. Whilst his telekinetic abilities are undoubtedly strong they only manifest to carry out the actions of his imaginary friends and he has no conscious control over their actions.
Whilst he has no conscious control over his powers they are governed entirely by his subconscious mind, thus in disastrous circumstances they will rush to his aid. He possesses 3 imaginary friends.
The first is a large blue rabbit he named Hopper. Hopper is Christopher’s favourite friend however he is also the weakest. He has no opposable thumbs and can not lift objects, at most he can kick or ram object or enemies although he is the only friend that will listen to Chris’ requests most (if not all) of the time. Hopper is the weakest of all three friends, he acts as his Chris’s ability to push objects with his mind and can move any object that is under the approximate weight of a car. If the object is on wheels he may be able to move heavy masses but in most scenarios that is his upper most limit. Hopper is incapable of lifting any objects and will act only as a form of ram against opponents.
The second is a bright yellow snake with large green spots called Annabel. Annabel is a rogue element on the battlefield and rarely takes orders although equally will always back off if forcefully told to do so. She represents Christopher’s power to compress objects and will wrap herself around people or objects, tighten her grip and crush them unless stopped. Annabel can not be directed to target anyone or anything without a severe argument being made. Annabel has less strength than Hopper but can apply it in different ways. She may pull items up to the mass of about a bicycle but never any more and may lift the object about eight inches off of the resting surface. On the converse side she is a constrictor. Unlike Hopper she is used to subdue targets and crush objects. She can be considered as having the same constrictive power as an adult anaconda.
Chris’ last imaginary friend is a humanoid being who is called the Dark One. He possesses a large set of claws and teeth and primarily makes use of Chris’ power to cut and slice targets. He is extremely dangerous and refuses to ever listen to Chris, should he get loose the only way to stop him is to knock Chris out completely. This ‘friend’ is uncontrollable and feeds off Chris’ anger and jealousy, the stronger these emotions the more likely he is to let loose on the environment around him. The Dark One is the only imaginary friend capable of fully utilising Chris’ power. He may move objects in any way he desires, vertically or horizontally and his fingers are capable of scratching into about an inch of solid steel on a single pass. He may not constrict enemies in the same way as Annabel but is rarely required to as it is rarely convenient to do so. The Dark One possess the raw strength of Hopper combined with the manipulability of Annabel however will materialise very rarely and typically only when Chris is extremely frightened.
Chris can also manifest any number of imaginary friends however they are typically short lived and hardly ever appear more than once. Nor do they typically appear without an obvious stimulus, for example if he is watching a cartoon bird he may manifest the bird for a few moments only.
Chris also appears to possess a small capacity to generate illusions, as Children are able to see his imaginary friends, it seems that adults are immune to this effect and the reason for this isn’t known. Anyone who has lost their inner child can not see these friends although any child with an active imagination appears to see them exactly as Chris interprets them.
• Weapons | None
• Weaknesses | Christopher can not directly control his powers, on many occasions Annabel will refuse to obey him and it is almost unheard of that the Dark One should ever listen to him. He also finds it necessary to announce any of his next moves and ask for the action to be made giving any opponents a good chance of preparing themselves.
Due to his frequently changing history and appearance Christopher can no longer tell the difference between fact and fiction. This makes him extremely gullible and very easy to trick. Neither can he tell the difference between cartoons or paintings and real film and photographs meaning he can frequently become extremely confused by artwork.
• Skills | Christopher has very few other skills. He is very new to interacting with normal people and all of his memories of doing so previously are entirely artificial. However he is extremely skilled at arranging his and other’s appearances, largely thanks to continually having to adjust his own look. He is also gifted at combat. He finds it difficult to win a fair fight against an opponent due to a lack of physical strength however he is very nimble and is good at evading attacks.
Having lived underground the majority of his life, despite not entirely remembering it, he has adapted to such conditions. He has exceptional night vision, although has developed a fear of the dark since leaving the sewers, and innately knows his way around the tunnels under Manhattan. He is also perfectly comfortable in enclosed conditions.

• Height | 6’1”
• Weight | 155 lbs
• Hair color & Style | Short brown hair.
• Eye color | Blue
• Face claim | (Christopher) Chase Crawford
• Overall Appearance | Chris is, now, an extremely handsome young man although he still retains a slight image of a child in his appearance. Many people struggle to place exactly what it is that makes him appear so, it may be the large childish grin, or the slightly messy hair that appears s if he places little effort into it or perhaps it is something in the way he moves but the trait is easily identifiable. His build is somewhat typical, he is not especially muscular or skinny yet not at all overweight, instead he seems to have a near perfectly proportioned body which is a result of his father’s power.
Chris’ skin is the envy of many individuals, it is naturally perfect, again a result of his father’s work. He no longer possesses a single, scar or imperfection of any kind in his skin anywhere on his body. Chris’ eyes are original, they are the only part of his original body that remains and he is incredibly fond of them. Many people however view his blue eyes as one of his dullest features, perhaps because of the way the rest of his body has been shaped.
Chris’s short brown hair, as previously mentioned, appears to be a mess and have little effort put into it, this is in fact not the case. Chris will spend any length of time working on his appearance and it seems to be the only thing he will stick at for any length of time. Chris’ fashion sense is just about as jumbled as his memory, his wardrobe varies from unusual brightly coloured costumes to a simple grey suit, the only consistency is it seems no matter which outfit he chooses, it always seems to suit him perfectly. His clothes can change anywhere up to five times a day depending on how he feels, typically if the more child like he feels the more brightly coloured his clothes are at that time
As Toon Town, Chris appears very similar to his normal self. Many thought that the pressure of battle would cause him to act considerably more maturely, if anything it has the opposite effect. The use of strange abilities all around him causes him to become even more confused about reality than usual and he typically becomes over confident, believing that the danger is not at all real. This shows in the way he behaves on battle, he will often walk straight into danger or sometimes even play with his imaginary friends. Typically Toon Town will wear the same clothes as Chris when he is just being himself, he does have an especially resistant leather outfit made for battle but he rarely uses it, further demonstrating his detachment from reality. • Favorite Color | Mixed vibrant colours, his favourite is currently yellow. At heart Christopher is still a child and loves anything and everything brightly coloured.
• Likes |
• Dislikes |
• Fears | Chris’ primary fear is a phobia of the dark. It is an innate child’s fear that he has never gotten over. The environment must be completely dark for this fear to manifest fully however being allone in extremely gloomy conditions may have a similar effect. When in the dark it is not unknown for his imaginary friends to begin wreaking havoc on anything and everything.
Chris is also afraid of smoke. It reminds him of his mother’s dream smoke and he instantly shuts down when he sees it. If he is in the smoke he simply adopts a foetus position and collapses however if he is just outside the smoke he tends to turn and run as far and fast as he can. In small volumes Chris can tolerate smoke, he will refuse to ever inhale it and will attempt to distance himself somewhat from the sauce, it is only when a room becomes partially filled, so that your vision becomes partially obstructed that he reacts in such a severe way. If he is ever in a scenario where his vision is almost completely obstructed by smoke then he will react similar to his reaction to the dark, shutting down completely, although in this scenario it is highly unusual for any of his friends to be unleashed.
Chris’ biggest fear without a doubt is his imaginary friend the Dark One. The Dark One feeds off his fear which means that once it has manifested he cannot control it in any way and must be knocked unconscious.
• Goals/ dreams | Christopher’s only dream has ever been to fit it. He fought his friends and family in order to escape the sewers and reach the surface world, somewhere he would finally be accepted. Although when he emerged he found that he was in the middle of a war, still branded an outcast he was taken in by the Resistance and seeks a way that humans and mutants can live together, all be it for selfish reasons.
• Overall Personality | Chris is a child at heart. His memories and mind are fractured into many parts and he can only consciously access a small proportion of them, making him relatively undeveloped emotionally. He has a number of fears and phobias that really are in many aspects childish. Ultimately he has a mind of his own and will normally be able to come to his own decisions although it is very easy to push him one way or another with relatively little effort.
A problem Chris encounters fairly regularly is that whilst he behaves similarly to a child he is actually a fully matured adult and he doesn’t really know his own strength when playing with children. When he wants he has the capacity to be extremely mature however this is exceptionally rare. Normally Chris gets bored easily and will typically escape into his imagination, this is when he becomes dangerous because his telekinetic abilities manifest the actions of everything he envisions during this time.
Chris’ number one flaw is his inability to differentiate between fact and fiction. His mind has been altered so many times in his life that he no longer knows what to believe this can be a severe handicap when he hears conflicting stories.
Although Chris does not remember much of his time in the sewers, his subconscious does and occasionally something, such a smell or sound, may trigger these buried memories. The most common trigger is the dark, and when he is plunged into complete darkness it is not unknown for him to imply shut down into a foetus position and begin screaming at the top of his voice. Whenever he does this there is a chance of his powers manifesting without necessarily his friends appearing, and he will often produce frequent yet random bursts of telekinetic energy.

• Overall history | Born into a family of outcasts in the sewers of Manhattan Chris was a lonely child. The majority of Chris’ childhood is a broken memory. His mother used her powers to change his memories so many times that he no longer knows which memories are his. He has a clear recollection of growing up on a large farm amoungst a loving family although he has come to terms with the fact that this is all a lie. In truth he spent his first years in the dark, having his body continually moulded into strange and disfigured forms by his father as a form of punishment for bad behaviour. Whilst his father regularly tortured him, his mother attempted to shield him from his father’s actions. Using her powers to manipulate memories she would on many occasions wipe Chris’ mind and fill in the gaps with colourful memories of cartoons. At the time his mother believed herself to be helping Chris when in fact it made her responsible for a near crippling personality disorder.
At the age of sixteen Chris started to harbour a number of imaginary friends caused by his erratic mental history. For about a year these friends were seen as harmless figments of his imagination however shortly after Chris’ seventeenth birthday his powers began to manifest. His so called imaginary friends began to move objects and attack fellow Morlocks seemingly out of the control of Chris himself. Upon realising that other Morlocks were afraid of him Chris harboured a plan. He had always wanted to leave the sewers and live a normal life on the surface, but at this moment in time he had been given snake like skin and could be considered a snake from the waist down, he could never fit in with humans. One night he paid a visit to his father with his friend Annabel. Chris held his father hostage, the deal, Masque was to transform him into one of the “beautiful” people and he would be allowed to live. Reluctantly Masque agreed and shaped Chris’ body to his exact specifications. Chris then emerged from the tunnels into the blinking light of day. The place was beautiful and he immediately fell in love with the surface world. But this dream was ended before it could fully begin.
It didn’t take long for the nineteen year old boy to realise that he didn’t fit in up here after all, he was more of an outcast than ever. There was a war going on between humans and mutants, Chris could hardly believe it, how long had he fought to reach the surface, and now he was driven back into hiding? Eventually Chris encountered the Resistance. A group fighting to end the war, and find a peacefull solution for both sides. It took him next to no time at all to decide to join and fight for his right to the surface.

Outside the sky was a heavy black, broken only by a few sparse specks of starlight. Chris was sat in front of the television. He had one leg hanging off the sofa and the other hugged close to his chest. On the screen there was the colourful cartoon images he was so commonly associated with. This particular cartoon was one of his favourites, Scooby-doo. His eyes were glued heavily to the screen as the gang investigated their latest mystery. As Shaggy and Scooby fled from the perusing monster Chris let out a burst of childish laughter. His laugh sounded strange to hear, it came in the short bursts of a child but was backed by the deep booming voice of an adult man.
He was fully engrossed in the cartoon when it happened. It was too sudden to follow. Within an instant the lights cut out and the screen went black within the blink of an eye. Chris’ heart stopped for a second, he couldn’t see anything. What caused the darkness? What was here? Suddenly there was a scratching sound from behind him, a sound like claws being run through wood. There was something here. His head turned very slowly, his eyes wide and sweat forming on his brow. Directly behind him was a dark figure wearing a black cloak and floating off the ground. Suddenly Chris screamed at the top of his voice, simultaneously covering his eyes.
“Dark One!” He yelled in a panic ridden fear. The Dark One moved silently through the air without making a sound. Then with an ear piercing wail it spiralled through the air, slicing everything in reach with its razor sharp fingertips. Chris was curled up on the floor, both screaming and crying someone to help. The room was cut up around him, inch deep grooves were scratched into the walls and pillows erupted in explosions of feathers.
After only a few moments the lights turned back on, and Chris gingerly opened his eyes. The Dark One was gone but the damage remained. He took three slow, deep breaths. He lay there panting on the floor as his friends rushed into the room. Chris internally thanked fate that they had not been there any earlier as he was wrapped in the comforting voices of supporting comrades. It was over, for now. He didn’t like to think about it but sooner or later, the dark one would be back, just as strong and just as terrifying as it always was.
