' A b i l i t i e s

• Power [/color] | Poison Generation/Secretion: This is the ability to generate and secrete venom or poisonous substances from the body. This ability manifests as a skin secretion. This ability allows Charlie to change the potency of the venom or to control when it is released from the body, so that it can be used to blind, paralyze, disorient or even kill opponents. The Venom is secreted through the sweat glands as waste, so she can choose where on her body to secrete the poison.

The active agents in her venom is not dissimilar to the plant Atropa Belladonna; it is comprised of the chemicals atropine, hyoscine (scopolamine), and hyoscyamine, these have anticholinergic properties (blocks acetylcholine in the nervous system). If her poison ware to be ingested, or find its way into the bloodstream (via her 'Saberclaws' for example) it would be highly toxic, killing a subject in a couple of hours if left untreated and the dosage were high enough (If the dosage were very very high, it would take a much shorter time). The poison can be absorbed through skin to skin contact however, this would be a much slower uptake and would be a more gradual poisoning.

The symptoms of this poisoning include dilated pupils, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, tachycardia (fast heart rate), breathlessness, loss of balance, staggering, headache, rash, flushing, dry mouth and throat, slurred speech, urinary retention, constipation, confusion, hallucinations, delirium, convulsions and death. Nightshades poison tastes fairly sweet, like an almost fruity taste, so she often adds it to food or drink.

Immunity to poison: Charlie has accidentally poisoned herself time and time again by accident, and to test her own capabilities, her body seems to just excrete it as waste, this goes for any other type of poison too, not just her own personal brand. This is obviously a genetic fail safe, if she weren't immune to poisoning she would probably have died when her powers manifested.

• Weapons [/color] |

Saberclaws:
These forearm blades have specialized runs down from the handle to the blade, allowing any poison she chooses to secrete during combat to run down and coat the blade.
FN2000:
A compact 5.56x45mm NATO-caliber assault rifle configured in a bullpup layout. The F2000 is a selective fire weapon operating from a closed bolt.
Shuriken (throwing stars) :

Coated in her poison its best not to rifle through her Shuriken.
Balison/Butterfly knives:

Blade coated in her poison.
Dart gun:

Darts painstakingly made individually, filled with her poison for a very low key kill.

• Weaknesses [/color] | If medical attention is sought quick enough an antidote can be quickly and easily administered. The antidote is physostigmine or pilocarpine, the same as for atropine or atropa belladonna.

Apart from the immunity to poisons Charlie is a normal teenage girl and can be killed by just about anything; gunfire, stab wounds, a sharp knock to the head, et al.

If Charlie becomes hyper nervous, or in a life threatening situation she tends to begin to secrete poison without thinking, this makes her a danger to friends and foe alike, and a reason why Belladonna has physostigmine hypos at the Boudreaux mansion at all times. This is also the reason Charlie avoids relationships, and has never gone 'all the way' yet.

After secreting poison Charlie also needs to wash her hands (or wherever she secreted it from) to avoid hurting comrades accidentally.

Charlaine also never finished highschool, thanks to an accident with her powers, so when it comes to book smarts shes lacking a little. Not that shes dumb, shes just really bad at math.

• Skills[/color] | Belladonna trained her only daughter in the skills needed to be a trained assassin from a very young age. Though Char is a proficient liar, trickster, escape artist and stealthy to boot, she is by no means an "expert" in her field, and still has a lot to learn.

Although she sometimes uses a gun, and has been firing once since she was 10 years old (shooting tin cans mostly) she isn't an expert markswoman, and could probably use a bit more practice. She is however incredibly deadly at close range when using her Saberclaws or similar, using a mix of kickboxing and judo techniques taught to her by Claude and her mother.

Claude, being in and out of her life for as long as she can remember also taught her the Shuriken throwing technique.

• Overall Appearance[/color] | Charlaine is tall for a seventeen year old girl, and could do with putting on a little bit more weight for her height. This doesn't mean that shes anorexic, like some people have commented when they've tried to hurt her feelings, but she keeps getting growth spurts that make her taller, and make her look thin. She does have quite broad hips, that on her small frame, give her very feminine curves. Her face is oval shaped, with porcelain skin, big blue eyes and blonde hair shes some redneck white supremacists wet dream.

She can often be found wearing a tight tank top, or vest, with an over sized boyfriend shirt slung over the top, coupled with some incarnation of jeans and boots. If its a warm day, daisy dukes and bare feet are called for, but its strictly look but don't touch.

Charlie wouldn't say she is a villain or a hero, shes an assassin, but her "Uniform" is a leather catsuit, with only her hands showing. It has numerous holsters for her many weapons and a utility belt around her waist for the smaller artifacts e.g. Shuriken. Its ridged and studded, and she often wears a hood.

• Favorite Color [/color] | Indigo - Indigo is a higher vibratory aspect of blue, it has all the attributes of blue plus an aura of deep mystery and of the the unexpected, the unknown and the unknowable. Heavy eyeliner - Makes her look older than her seventeen years, and she rocks the goth look.

Math - She never finished high school, not that this was one of her strongest subjects to begin with.
Awkward hugs - All of her hugs are awkward, she doesn't like close contact so much because of her powers.

• Overall Personality[/color] | Charlie is a sweet girl, but full of sadness, she has come to terms with being a killer but refuses to let anyone come close to her, both physically and emotionally, in case she hurts them without meaning to. She tries to act tough, and talks it up pretty well, and if tough fails she tries on the sex appeal, but its mostly a cover.

When on the job Charlie has had years of practice and lessons on how to deal with most situations and she does so with as much professional decorum as she can muster. Shes quite cut throat and straight to the point when being paid comes into it.

• Overall history[/color] | Charlaine was a premature baby, born when the news of her fathers death sent her mother into shock, other than being a little underweight she was a healthy baby, though her father would never hold or even see his only daughter. Her younger years were spent with her mother and to a lesser extent, her older brother Adrien, who without a father figure around for the pair, became very protective over his much younger sister when he was at home. She saw much more of Remy's son Claude, who was training to become an assassin, and became almost like family.

Charlaine was ten when the attack on Xaviers happened, she was full of fear when they first got word, they didn't know who was alive and who was dead. Relieved that both her brother and Claude had gotten out alive, she thanked whatever higher power there was that she wasn't going to loose anyone just yet, but her mother stepped up the training she was already getting, showing her how to shoot cans off a fence with a gun, and many other useful assassin techniques.

Charlies powers manifested when she hit puberty at thirteen, if life wasn't hard enough being the daughter of the matriarch of the assassins guild her power would make it a whole lot harder. She didn't get a date for the spring fling like most girls did, because most parents had warned their sons off the young assassin even if they were interested, so Charlaine volunteered to give out punch at the dance.

It was a couple of hours in when people began to feint, vomit and even convulse on the dancefloor, inciting mass panic. It was a couple of days before the CDC arrived to find out just what had happened, with over 80 kids having been hospitalized with poisoning, three still in critical condition and one dead. They traced it back to Charlaine, thinking she had spiked the punch, to which she said she had ever touched it, just handed it out.

They found out that the poison was actually coming from her hands, and when she touched the cups, she was lacing them with poison. Which in itself wasn't enough to kill someone, but several of the football team had been taking steroids, so was the boy who died, the most popular kid in their year, and a boy Charlie had a crush on.

Distraught Charlie dropped out of school, choosing to be home schooled by her momma and the guild. For a few years she seemed to be a shell of her former self, completely throwing herself into training and shying away from any sort of relationship. Recently however she was a bridesmaid at her brothers wedding.
